Abstract: The Consulting Soil Scientists of the Carolinas (CSSC) was incorporated in 2004 as a chapter of the National Society of Consulting Soil Scientists (NSCSS). One of the stated objectives of the CSSC was to increase professionalism amongst consulting soil scientists and to implement Standards of Practice (SOP). To date, the CSSC has proposed five draft SOPs. This presentation will explain the philosophy behind SOPs, provide excerpts from two draft SOPs, and discuss future SOPs and information needs. |
